The one-minute black-and-white infrared video recording shows a rounded object with a visible heat source in the middle, and six sharply pointed cones projecting from a main body in the shape of a flattened sphere. A plume, or cloud warmer than the night air, is visible behind the object. The drone video was recorded by an Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) pilot during combat operations at an altitude of 800 meters, Beskrestnov said.

The object is hovering or moving slowly during the video, without visibly reacting to the drone. The pilot rotates an observation camera laterally and vertically after spotting the UFO. Photographs from other claimed UFO sightings showed a heat-emitting cigar-shaped object above open farmland.

“With the beginning of the war, the study of UFOs in our space became more of a military task than a civilian one. The [Armed Forces of Ukraine] AFU even have a special, detailed document on this topic [UFO sightings by Ukrainian troops] that has been cleared by the Supreme Commander,” Beskrestnov wrote in Telegram comment.

Other Topics of Interest Drone Strike Halts Fuel Output at Gazprom Plant in Russia On Thursday, a Gazprom gas processing plant in Russia’s Astrakhan region halted fuel production after a drone attack sparked a fire. Key processing units were damaged, with repairs expected to take weeks or months. The strike is part of a broader pattern of attacks on Russia’s energy infrastructure amid the war in Ukraine.

Major Ukrainian media and some official platforms confirmed the video and photo content to be real battle drone footage, but none suggested extraterrestrial objects or life had been detected. Ukraine is studying UFOs because the term may be a cover for a new Russian weapon, the mainstream UNIAN news agency reported on Wednesday.

Beskrestnov called on civilians and individual solders to report UFO sightings to authorities immediately because it might be a clandestine Kremlin system not yet known the AFU. Advertisement “It therefore is not only the USA that deals with such issues, because what might look like a UFO might well be a hidden new weapons of our enemy [Russian Federation forces],” he said.

The Beskrestnov video of the UFO spotted in combat airspace over Ukraine followed the May 8 publication by the Pentagon of newly declassified video and photographs, some dating back to the 1940s, of UFOs observed by US military and government agencies worldwide. The partial release of UFO-related archives included PDFs, photos, and videos from FBI, NASA and the DoD, among others.

Among the most-discussed new content, among UFO enthusiasts, was Apollo astronaut recordings of lights and objects resembling orbs or saucers during lunar missions. A 1:46 minute-long infrared video designated DOW-UAP-PR38 described by the Pentagon as recorded by a US Central Command infrared platform operating in the Middle East in 2013 shows a star-shaped object that, in some respects, resembles the spherical object with six projecting cones spotted by Ukrainian forces in May 2023.

The US-observed object is shown to have four large and four small projecting spikes or cones, and unlike the Ukrainian UFO its main body appears to be perfectly spherical and to contain cold spots. During the observation/encounter the operator zooms in and out on the UFO. Advertisement The Official Video Description from the release said: “This video depicts an area of contrast resembling an eight-pointed star with arms of alternating length.

” Fox News said of the sighting: “Mysterious footage from the Pentagon’s UFO files shows a bizarre object streaking across the sky in 2013. The nearly two-minute infrared clip, submitted by US Central Command personnel, shows a strangely shaped object floating over the Middle East. ”
